The Catholic ceremony of benediction was given by Father Hitoshi Shizuka (Order of Friars Minor) in  Building 4 of the SHISF on October 13th.

We prayed for SHISF to become a stepping-stone toward building a society without prejudice and discrimination, and for all the work of the people involved in the SHISF to be blessed.

Following the ceremony, we held a Stamp Rally for the staff and students, as a way to introduce them to our new institute. We had a great time with nearly 150 visitors who celebrated the opening of SHISF, in spite of the rainy cold weather.
