Where is Sacred Heart University Global Plaza located?
It is located in the Building No.4 next to the university compound containing Building No.1-3. It is a one minute walk from Exit 4 of Hiroo Station,Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line. Please see the map in our website.
Is Sacred Heart University Global Plaza and Building No.4 the same building?
Yes, it is. Sacred Heart University Global Plaza is the official name and Building No.4 is the name of the university building.
What is the difference between Sacred Heart University Global Plaza and Sacred Heart Institute for Sustainable Futures (SHISF)?
SHISF is on the second floor of the Global Plaza.
Please tell me how to get to the Global Plaza form Ebisu Station.

Is the building barrier-free? Are there any steps?
The elevator is available. On the first floor, there is a rest room for people who are physically challenged.
Do you have a parking lot?
Sorry. The parking lot is reserved for people who are physically challenged.
Do you have a place where we can eat?
Café Jasmin is a school cafeteria where all visitors can eat. Please refrain from eating in places other than the cafeteria.
Can we reserve a table in the cafeteria?

Where is Britt Memorial Hall located?
It is located in the third floor of Building No.4.
What is the meaning of “Britt Memorial Hall?
Britt is the name of the first president of Sacred Heart University

About BE*hive

What is BE*hive?
It is the exhibition space on the ground floor of the Global Plaza. Exhibitions and workshops are given there. We named it BE*hive, Hoping it will be the starting point for students to take off by engaging in various issues of the world, as bees take off from a hive to visit flowers for pollination which bears fruits.
What is exhibited now in BE*hive?
We present the permanent exhibition and the special exhibition. “Refugees and Evacuees” will be shown until March, 2018.
How often will the exhibition be changed?
We plan to change the main theme of the permanent exhibition every two years, and the sub-theme every six months.
Are there some events given there besides the exhibition?
We plan various kinds of workshops. Please see our website for details.

Can we take a pictures or a videos of the exhibits?
Please refrain from photographing in Corner C. You can take pictures in other places.
Can we touch the exhibits?
Please refrain from touching the exhibits with exceptions. Some of them may be fragile.
Is Wi-fi connection available?
Yes, it is. Please contact the front desk.
Can we buy books connected to the exhibitions?
Sorry, at this time we do not have a plan to sell books and goods.
How many languages are displayed on the exhibits?
Both Japanese and English are included in the exhibits.
Is there braille on the explanations?
So far braille is not available; however, are now preparing an audio explanation.
What is the expected target age for the exhibitions?
It is good for everyone. However, we recommend it to high school students and up.
How can large groups such as school classes visit the BE*hive?
A reservation is needed. Please contact be-hive@g.u-sacred-heart.ac.jp
How much is the admission fee?
Admission is free.
Can we rent the exhibition space and the screening space?

This building belonged to JICA, didn’t it? Is it now rented by the University of the Sacred Heart?
This building was previously JICA Global Plaza. The University bought it in February 2016.

It is located on the second floor of the Sacred Heart University Global Plaza (Building No.4)
What kind of activities does SHISF conduct?
We conduct education, research and social activities to develop people’s understanding on how to interact in the global society, aiming at global symbiosis, based on the philosophy of University of Sacred Heart.
